1. Who We Are
SyncBrain AI ("SyncBrain," "we," "us," or "our") is a personal AI assistant service operated by Charles Brock. Our website is syncbrainai.com. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign up, we collect your email address, username, and display name. Payment information is collected and processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
Chat Messages
Your SyncBrain agent remembers what you tell it. This includes messages, notes, preferences, reminders, contacts, and any other information you share in conversation. Your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing. This data is stored in your personal, isolated folder and is only accessible to you and your agent.
Files and Uploads
Files you upload through your agent, the web dashboard, or the mobile app are stored in your personal folder. All uploads are scanned for malware before being stored.
Device Location (Optional)
If you enable location features in the Android app, we collect GPS coordinates from your device. Location data is used for geofencing, location sharing with contacts you approve, and contextual assistance from your agent. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings or the app's settings page. Location data is stored locally on your server infrastructure, not in any third-party cloud.
Push Notification Tokens
If you use the Android app, we collect Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens to deliver push notifications. These tokens do not contain personal information and are only used for message delivery.
Health Vitals (Optional)
If you choose to enter health information (blood type, allergies, medications, emergency contacts, etc.), this data is stored in your personal agent's configuration. Health data is never shared with third parties. You control who can access it through per-contact permission settings.
Usage Data
We track basic usage metrics: message counts, session activity, and feature usage for rate limiting and service improvement. We do not sell or share this data.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate your personal AI agent
- To remember your preferences and context across sessions
- To process payments via Stripe
- To send service notifications (reminders, alerts, system updates)
- To deliver push notifications via Firebase
- To provide location-based features you have opted into
- To maintain security and prevent abuse
We do not use your data to train AI models. Your conversations and files remain yours.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Ever.
4. AI Processing
Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing. This is how your agent understands and responds to you. Anthropic processes these messages under their API terms, which prohibit using API inputs to train their models. We also use OpenRouter as an API routing layer. No other AI provider receives your data.
5. Data Storage and Self-Hosted Model
SyncBrain AI operates on a self-hosted infrastructure model. Your data is stored on dedicated server infrastructure — not in a shared public cloud. Each user's data is kept in a separate, isolated folder. Your agent cannot access another user's data. Automated enforcement systems continuously verify this isolation.
All connections between the app and server are encrypted. The Android app includes a built-in WireGuard VPN for additional connection security when accessing your agent remotely.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI model provider. Your messages are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase (Google) — Push notifications only. Subject to Firebase Privacy Information.
- Telegram — Message delivery platform. Subject to Telegram's Privacy Policy.
- OpenRouter — AI model routing. Subject to OpenRouter's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare — Website delivery, DNS, and security.
- Google Safe Browsing — URL safety verification for uploaded links.
- ElevenLabs — Voice synthesis for text-to-speech features.
7. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 30 days in case you resubscribe, then permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — View all data your agent has stored via the My Data dashboard or mobile app
- Edit — Modify any file your agent has created
- Delete — Remove any file, note, or record at any time
- Export — Request a full export of your data
- Close — Cancel your account and request complete data deletion
- Revoke permissions — Disable location, notifications, or health data collection at any time
9. Security
We take security seriously. Your data is protected by:
- Per-user isolated file storage on self-hosted infrastructure
- Encrypted credentials stored in OS-level keychains (not in databases)
- Automated security monitoring and enforcement agents
- Multi-layer malware scanning on all file uploads (ClamAV + Google Safe Browsing)
- HTTPS encryption on all web connections via Cloudflare
- Built-in WireGuard VPN in the mobile app for encrypted tunneling
- Ed25519 device authentication for mobile connections
10. Children
SyncBrain AI is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active subscribers via their agent of any material changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
